Our Mission is to help you love god,
love people, and grow as a follower of jesus
WHO WE ARE
At Trinity, we’re real people in need of a real Savior. We are a vibrant community of families, young professionals, empty nesters, grandparents, and everyone in between. No matter where you are in life or on your faith journey, you belong here. Trinity is a church for all ages, stages, and sizes.
Though we are considered a large congregation we remain deeply committed to fostering a close-knit, family-like atmosphere where everyone feels seen and known. In the midst of a larger church, we prioritize personal connections and shared experiences. Together, we are learning to walk with Jesus daily—loving God, loving people, and growing as His followers. Wherever you are in your journey, we invite you to join us as we strive to reflect God’s love and grace in everything we do.
WHAT WE VALUE
-
Every person matters deeply to God, so they matter to us. Jesus came to reconcile the world to God (Luke 15:1-32), and He calls us to do the same. At Trinity, you can belong, before you believe, as we walk alongside everyone, wherever they are in their faith journey, sharing the hope and life-changing power of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20, John 20:21, 1 Corinthians 9:19-27).
-
We are a center of faith and life, connecting people to Jesus Christ through creative, relevant ministry that meets people where they are. While the Gospel message of Jesus Christ remains unchanged (Hebrews 13:8), the methods we use to share it are adaptable and inspired by the Holy Spirit to effectively reach a changing world (Mark 2:21-22, Psalms 146-150).
-
We acknowledge our imperfections and our deep need for Jesus. We are a community of broken people who are made whole by God’s grace. Together, we walk in humility, authenticity, and dependence on Christ, growing in His love as we support and encourage one another (Romans 3:23-24, 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, Matthew 11:28-30).
-
We are not perfect, but we are family. In our messiness, we reflect God’s love and grace as we grow together in faith. Christ unites us as one body, and we strive to serve, support, and encourage one another in love (John 13:34-35, Ephesians 4:2-6, Romans 12:4-5).
-
As followers of Jesus, we are called to move from spiritual infancy to maturity (Philippians 3:13-14, Ephesians 4:12-14). Growth happens best in relationships and community (Acts 2:42-47). Through personal connection and shared experiences, we strive to help people grow in their relationship with Christ and discover His God-given destiny and purpose for our lives.
-
Serving is not just something we do, it’s who we are. Whether across the street or across the globe, we show Jesus’ love by serving others with kindness, generosity, and compassion. Everyone is invited to participate in this calling to love our neighbors and bring hope to the world (Matthew 22:37-39, Jeremiah 29:7, Galatians 6:10, Matthew 28:19).
-
Everything we do to grow on our faith journey is ultimately for God’s glory, not our own. No matter where our journey leads us, we strive to reflect His love and grace, pointing others to Jesus and making His name known through our talents, time, devotion, and our resources. Our ultimate purpose is to honor Him in all we do (1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17, Matthew 5:16).
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Trinity is a Lutheran Congregation, affiliated with Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC).
GOD
We believe that there is only one true God who exists in three separate but equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is our maker and the creator of all things. By the Father's word, all things were made, and we are His most beloved creation. The Son is Jesus Christ, who came to earth as the perfect "go-between" between God and humanity. He has redeemed us and is the voice to the Father on our behalf. The Holy Spirit calls us to believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, keeps us in the one true faith, and equips us for living out our faith.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is active in the lives of individuals to convict us of our sin and point us to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. The Holy Spirit brings renewing life and power to His people and His church. We affirm the gifts of the Spirit and the fruit of the Spirit for the health and vitality of our community of faith.
MISSION-MINDED FOR OUR COMMUNITY AND WORLD
We believe and affirm Jesus' call to go into all the world and "make disciples" defines the church. Transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, we live out of His love to people among us and around the world. We seek to make a difference by being a "local outpost of the Kingdom of God."
SACRAMENTS
We believe that God has given us gifts to bring His kindness and love to us. Besides the spoken and written Word of God, God comes to us in Baptism and Holy Communion. We believe that through the waters of Baptism, God forgives us our sin, adopts us as His children, and gives the gift of new life. We affirm the baptism of infants. We believe that in Holy Communion Jesus is really present, giving us his Body and Blood in, with, and under the bread and wine. In Holy Communion Jesus brings us forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation.
CHILDREN & YOUTH
We believe in passing along faith to the next generation and helping them grow and develop a faith of their own. We value age-specific programing for kids and encourage their participation in the life of the church. We welcome kids to be in worship services and want them to know the love of Jesus for them.
SIN AND SALVATION
We believe that God created a perfect world for us and through sin we messed it up. We are all touched by sin and sin has corrupted this world, our lives, and destroyed our relationship with God and one another. God, in His love, made a way for us through Jesus Christ. Jesus was uniquely both God and man, "God in flesh." Jesus' death, resurrection, and ascension saved us and brings us back into relationship with God as His children. Jesus is deserving of our worship and obedience.
THE BIBLE
We believe all Scripture is inspired by God and is always relevant. Through the Bible, God has made known all matters pertaining to life and salvation. We believe that the Bible is completely reliable. In it we learn everything we need to know about God's love and His gifts to us.
PRAYER
We believe prayer is our most powerful tool to bring change into the lives of people and this world. Prayer is our way to grow in faith, love, and obedience to the will of God. Prayer for the church, its ministries, and its people helps bring healing, strength, and protection from the forces of evil.
SANCTITY OF LIFE AND MARRIAGE
We believe all humans are created in the image of God. Each person is valuable and created wonderfully by God. Each life is to be honored, dignified, and protected from conception until death. We also affirm that the Scripture teaches that marriage is defined between one man and one woman, and that human sexual expression and fulfillment take place only within the boundaries of that relationship.
Our Vision
We see followers connected to Jesus and each other through strong relationships and a sense of belonging because of meaningful worship, fellowship, youth-focused ministries, and a commitment to serving beyond ourselves.
